As I am getting ready to move across the ocean, I am realizing how much I will miss not only my family and friends, but Paris, my beautiful city.
Paris and I have our ups and downs. I was mad at her (Paris is a she) when I had to go through the unbearable metro commute every day. I get mad when I feel like she's not big enough for everybody, and we all bump into each other, invading each other's private space. But I can never really stay mad at my city.
It is one of the most beautiful, interesting, culturally rich cities in the world and it will always be a huge part of who I am.
My husband and I made the choice to live in Canada for many reasons.
Our girls.
Work opportunities.
That kind of thing.
But we have lived the best years of our lives in Paris, and if it was up to us we'd stay here forever.
My family and my roots are here, and so, we'll always have Paris.
