30 things I want to do before I turn 30

Since I just turned 25, I figured it was finally time to complete and post the list of things I want to do before I turn 30. I've been working on it for a while. It's funny how it seemed so far away when I first started it. Realizing I now only have 5 years to accomplish all those things is a little scary!

1. Set a foot on each continent
2. Have a child
3. Go on a safari
4. Have a walk-in closet
5. Go on a road trip across the US, and see the Death Valley and the Grand Canyon
6. Get engaged & married
7. Go to a Jazz club
8. Own a Burberry trench
9. Have a job I love
10. Start reading the paper more often
11. Learn to drive a stick
12. Read Tolstoï's War and Peace
13. Go to Vietnam and see the house where my grandmother was born
14. Own real pearl earrings
15. Host a grownup dinner party
16. Incorporate exercise in my everyday lifestyle and not just for a few months a year
17. Join a choir
18. Go to a shooting range
19. Buy stocks
20. Go apple picking
21. Do volunteer work
22. Go blonde
23. Re-read Le Petit Prince
24. Get my teeth fixed (I did wear braces for a while as a kid.. my teeth are stubborn)
25. Celebrate Thanksgiving in the US
26. Write a novel
27. Go to a concert with my husband
28. Record a song
29. Watch Full Metal Jacket
30. Buy a piece of art

Happy belated Birthday! I have at least 10 of those items on my to-do list by 30 as well.

Interesting list!

"Tolstoï's War and Peace" - I would love to do this as well sometime. I've read bits and peices of it, but not all of it :)

I'm totally with you on owning a Burberry trench and buying a piece of art.

Oh, War and Peace is awesome! Suggestion...read it twice. There are so many characters, that it takes you a few hundred pages to figure out everyone. But it is such a good book.

Then again, I'm a little obsessed with Tolstoy so I'm biased.

this is a good list! several of these are things I want to do at some point in my lifetime. :] I would invite you to Thanksgiving dinner at my house, but unfortunately it's a bit short notice at this point.

Great list!
I should do this...although I have less than 3 years for that now and I don't know how much I can accomplish before then. Ha.
